The only way to defeat Donald Trump in 2024 is with a radically humanitarian agenda: universal healthcare, tuition free college and tech school, childcare & paid family leave, guaranteed living wage, a vision of peace, and the declaration of a climate emergency to save the planet for future generations. Why? Because those things provide a better life for people. They inspire a way for the future to be better. They give a voter something to vote FOR. If the Democratic Party refuses to match Donald Trump’s mendacity with an equal level of human compassion for what people are going through, it will not defeat him. It will pave for the way for his return.

The Republicans could have got on board with ANY of those things. Instead, they sued him giving ANY student debt relief. I am pissed off about that. But they made those things impossible. Biden passed a lot if this. REPUBLICANS took it to court and got it taken back. Then took

Well … that is the only way to continue this particular civilization as we know it … but you’re more optimistic than I am about our ability to recognize that fact in time for the 2024 election.

I agree with your agenda except for the declaration of a "climate emergency." The recent pandemic showed us how emergency declarations on spurious grounds could lead to prolonged and insidious abuses of power. Clarity is needed (as well as green jobs), not more fear-mongering.

I’ve always liked you. I also like President Trump. You speak ill of him. I’ve never heard him speak negatively about you.

You are either lying or delusional. No president can promise anything without Congress's full support. Everything is a compromise. Radical ideas will take a century to gain support from the population and Congress. Gay and Lesbian marriage rights and women's suffrage are just two simple examples. So, stop pushing your egoistic ideals and help guard our nation against Trump the dictator. If you love our nation, not your ego, help all of us from losing the democracy to Trump and his MAGA.
