Pretty shocking when the talking heads say our economy is “good.” Morally and spiritually, there is no way you could call this “good.”

this chart makes me sick. “land of opportunity” my ass. most people i know are working multiple jobs, working long and hard hours, and barely covering rent, food, and living expenses.

What obligation does society have to a population group, that graduated in the bottom half of their HS class? Is wealth inequality the result of falling to be personally responsible for one’s life? How do you fix it? Taxes?

Depends on what you choose to define as an economy. The majority define it as to what they make, what they spend and how much they have left over. What you seem to define as an economy is wealth distribution.
