We don’t deal with one crisis at a time anymore; at this point we’re in a rolling state of crisis all the time. This is what it has brought us to that we’ve allowed the accumulation of corporate profits to become America’s governing principle. We’ve allowed a soulless economic paradigm to replace democracy and humanitarian values as our society’s bottom line. It has put the world in a state of fundamental disrepair, and the only adequate response is an equally fundamental dedication to a new beginning. This is the MAGA effect on the Media. Border crisis? It’s been the same for decades because Congress won’t address it. Inflation? Spurred on Covid and taken advantage of by corporations to increase profits. Debt? Trump added billions to debt through tax cuts. Stop blaming Biden.

You keep talking about this aberrational chapter, but you don’t realize that was the least compelling chapter of your speech. @RevDrBarber who is bi-racial tried to give you a hint about how to evolve and answer meeting the needs of poor people in this country, of which 135 million are poor or low-income, and of which the majority of those poor people are white. It went right past you as you led with reparations and proceeded to do a caricature performance of a reverend, right in front of 2 literal reverends. In all your thumping you didn’t notice the reverends both giving you the eye-roll.
