The emotional and psychological wounds of our veterans are as severe as their physical ones, requiring the same level of focus and application of resources. My plan for veterans rights includes prioritizing the legalization of marijuana, psilocybin and access to plant-based medicines for veterans; reverse boot camp to help veterans reintegrate into society; and guaranteed housing. I do not want to be driving behind people who have been smoking pot. You’ve been there: they drive way - way below the speed limit and are unpredictable. Scary and predictable. What about the rights of the people who are not smoking that crap?

Ms Williamson is it fair to say that your drug policy is currently a work in progress with an update on the way? It is horrifying to see the amount of suffering the drug war inflicts on veterans.

my friend group and coworkers (all younger voters) are on the marianne train after watching interviews! tbh you are kinda the only principled candidate we see running especially in your opinions on the gaza war, would you consider ever visiting or speaking at a protest

Opiates are plant-based medicine. They've been effectively gone from the planet since Afghanistan stopped producing them, leading to the fentanyl overdose problem we're seeing today. 110,000 unnecessary overdoses a year because the government wants to stick to prohibition.

Just make sure the pot is not filled with heavy metals from pesticides, as that’s the last thing they need to deal with.
