The three things below are what's necessary now, but the most complicated thing is that they must occur simultaneously. No one can simply force either Hamas or Bibi to make it happen (neither the Palestinians nor the Israelis have enlightened leadership at this point). Our only hope is an international consortium involving powerful Arab countries, the United States and Europe. 1) Ceasefire 2) Release of the hostages 3) Immediate conference on the establishment of a two-state solution, accompanied by a temporary international peace-keeping force to make it binding. There are absolutely Palestinian and Jewish Israeli leaders waiting in the wings, capable of accomplishing this. They are held down on both sides but my prayer is that they be lifted up.

I mean yeah, this is what rational people would do if they wanted peace, the fact it doesn’t happen is proof humanity isn’t rational. You can’t stop war so long as it remains profitable; money drives people, not love or compassion.

This is the 2 state solution... Seems like other options need to be considered.

There was a cease fire before Oct 7th... If they do a ceasefire and Hamas doesn't abide by it can Israel protect their country then??

China is much more likely to lead such an effort than the United States. China is more willing, has purer motives, and has a much better chance of succeeding. The United States should support this, but the United States should not lead it.

I just translated this appeal from Al-Rantisi Hospital which is surrounded by the Israeli tanks right now! Please retweet let this appeal reach all the world. 💔

And how do you picture a two state solution working? How about Israel just becomes a normal country that doesn't discriminate based on race access religion?

Would potentially heal the region, however, what to do about Palestinians always refusing their own State? Seems many prefer Israel gone as their stated official goal.
