We tend to think of separate wars: Israel versus Hamas, Russia versus Ukraine, China versus whomever in the future or Iran versus whomever in the future and so forth. 1/7

But that’s not the clearest perspective for the 21st-century. The bigger picture is war itself versus the survival of our species. 2/7

Think of all the money spent by the United States, China, Russia, Iran, the nations of Europe, Saudi Arabia and so forth…trillions of trillions…then think what the world would look like if all that money went to furthering the cause of humanity. 4/7

JFK's anti-war rhetoric falls flat when you look at the numbers—escalating from mere hundreds to over 16,000 U.S. troops in Vietnam by the time of his assassination. Not the elite's children, no. It was the sons and daughters of everyday Americans who couldn't dodge the draft with wealth or connections, sent to fight and die in a senseless war far from home. Who paid the price for this hypocrisy? #VietnamWar #JFK #ForgottenMajority

It doesn't mean to surrender.

Ha ha. Sure, Jan. Not only did JFK escalate the Vietnam war by plotting for months to run a coup in S. Vietnam, he advocated for going to war with China. You were 10 years old when JFK was president. You didn't know shit then and you don't know it now.
