A person’s life doesn’t fall apart all at once; it’s the little compromises, little heartbreaks, little mistakes, that pave the way to decline and overwhelming despair. 1/6

A country doesn’t fall apart all at once, either. It’s not one thing, but a lot of things, that take us slowly to a point where we look around and say “Oh my God, what happened to this country?” 2/6

But Albert Camus’ words apply to a country as well as to an individual: “In the midst of winter, I have found there was, within me, an invincible summer.” 3/6

But we are at a point where we have to decide; to not decide is a decision in and of itself. To think we don’t have to radically change is to foster our societal decline. In the words of Abraham Lincoln, “As our case is new, we must think anew and act anew.” It’s the 11th hour, but it isn’t midnight yet…there’s still time if we will use time well. 6/6

Best thing to look at for societal decline: drug prohibition. Canada is arresting people for saving lives. We don’t even try here because DEA would straight up murder you in America. 110,000 innocent Americans dead at the hands of the DEA. themainlander.com/2023/10/30…

Many people's lives do fall apart when they become disabled - it's not a little mistake they made it is an eventuality that people who live long enough face and our societal choice to discard the disabled without support isn't a mistake eithrr
