The United States should be convening, along with other nations, an emergency international conference to discuss an alternative to the war in Gaza. Destroying Gaza will not serve Israel. The world itself has a vested interest in finding a better way.

It's not a war it's an occupation in a slow genocide and ethic cleansing of an entire people

We could argue that, but the larger point is this: Hamas has declared its goal is the eradication of Israel and the eradication of the Jewish people. That’s not exactly non-genocidal.

Hamas' goal is to free Palestine. Now if you are associating Zionism and Judaism, then you have a problem. Remember the people who are most likely to vote for you are against Zionism.
2
What is your source that Hamas has declared the eradication of the Jewish people? It’s a lie and you know it.

Israel seems intent on destroying Gaza though, not Hamas.

Actually they say they "struggle struggle against the Zionists who occupy Palestine", not Jewish People. And they "reject the persecution of any human being or the undermining of his or her rights on nationalist, religious or sectarian grounds".

But the Israeli government has also made their intentions clear, to flatten Gaza, to wipe them, that they think all of the people in Gaza and the West Bank are terrorists and animals that need to be killed or expelled. Yes, Hamas needs to be dealt with but so does Israel

You're literally describing what Israel has been doing to Palestinians for the last 75 years.

But Israel is *actually* committing genocide right now. How do you feel about Israel committing genocide and mass murdering children?
2
The saying is “an eye for an eye” not “an eye for both eyes” or “an eye for the whole face” Killing 10 Palestinians for every Israeli isn’t making Israel the good guy and any religion that makes death, mass murder, or ethnic cleansing of “non-believers” isn’t nearly as sanctimonious as it thinks.
