According to this article, sexual violence is perpetrated against female prisoners by guards and other prison officials on a regular basis. Yet little to nothing is done about it. The opposite should be the case. Female prisoners are the most vulnerable population in the world and those who abuse them should not be protected by a prison-industrial boys club.
