Another mass shooting, this time in Maine. My answer to a question about guns during my CNN Townhall in 2020 remains the same. A majority of Republicans as well as Democrats, including gun owners, want common sense gun safety laws such as a ban on assault weapons, federal red flag laws and universal background checks. The fact that we don't have them has nothing to do with the Second Amendment, and everything to do with the unadulterated greed of gun manufacturers. None of this will change until the people rise up.

Seems like in this case, and usually every other case. The folks were known…. And they did not follow the laws that were already in place….. federal didn’t contact state…. Somebody dropped the ball.

Gun control is a generic blanket statement. We already have gun control. Enforce the thousands of gun laws you have. Murder: already illegal.
