Hours before yesterday’s shooting in Maine, the Senate passed an amendment allowing veterans declared mentally unfit to still be allowed access to guns. How disgusting is this? rollingstone.com/politics/po…

Define mentally unfit? Because of someone has PTSD does that mean they’re unfit? So I spend my youth in the military only to lose my rights because someone else THINKS I’m unfit? Cool story bro.

Due process is a thing. Yeah I know, that whole Constitution is a real pain in the ass.

So you are saying this didn't contribute. Also, any Congress person that votes to destroy civil liberties should lose their seat, and be charged with treason.

While the MSM gaslights you about there not being a connection between SSRI antidepressants and mass shooters, they're not telling you that in 2004, the FDA was forced to put a black box warning on all of them that says the following: “Anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, insomnia, irritability, hostility, aggressiveness, impulsivity, akathisia, hypomania, and mania have been reported in adult and pediatric patients being treated with antidepressants for major depressive disorder as well as for indications, both psychiatric and nonpsychiatric.” I wonder which one of these symptoms could lead to someone losing their mind and deciding to start murdering people en masse... These symptoms are also GREATLY exacerbated if you try to quit these drugs cold turkey as well. So if you've been taking one of these drugs for years, and then your prescription doesn't get filled on time or stop for whatever reasons, the symptoms can come on very quickly within days and then before you know it you lose yourself in a fit of violent rage and depersonalization, going on a killing spree. This is what @BrookeSiem described in the podcast with @MikhailaFuller , and how she had felt this violent destructive rage when trying to quit SSRIs. How many people have experienced these symptoms and committed acts of violence? How many mass shooters were on these drugs or just got off them before they went nuts? The reason why MSM doesn't cover these issues, and nor does the government want to study the connection, is because they're completely bought by big pharma and would prefer to "not to let a good crisis go to waste" and instead weaponize these horrific events against you to take your guns.

Vaguely written laws will always be used to maximally and incrementally erode peoples rights. Always. History proves this is not so much a slippery-slope "fallacy," as a S-s Prophecy.

Weird how less than 24 hours after passing the amendment, a mentally unfit serviceman went 51-50 and killed a bunch of people. Not even trying to hide it anymore.

You're disgusting. That is not what the Senate did. They created an amendment to prevent vets that need help with their finances from being reported to NICS. Just because someone can't keep track of the checking account doesn't mean they are mentally unfit to own a gun.
