Responded to the mass shooting in Maine last night, our new Speaker of the House said prayer is appropriate at a time like this. That’s it. That was his response. 1/3

Darn right, Mr. Speaker. So is a ban on assault weapons, universal background checks, banning bump stocks and high-capacity magazines, and more. Using prayer as cover for the political unwillingness to address earthly problems is a mockery of faith. 2/3

Why is the knee jerk reaction to always punish law abiding citizens who have done no wrong and not go at the root of the problem? Or do you get a check from big pharma too?

You preach love & prayer yet when he responds that way you chastise him? Some want to reflect before running to begin a fake outrage campaign. As a mom of a mass shooting survivor, its appalling ya all get so riled up for a wk then POOF. Silence.

There should be a class action lawsuit against the US Gov't not providing mental health services to all citizens. The lack of mental healthcare (plus access to weapons of war) has lead to tens of thousands of deaths since Reagan dismantled the mental health system.. (1/2)

Mentally ill people should be in care facilities, no danger to themselves or anyone else.

Fuck that. I support freedom. And the civilian population should retain the ability to win a war against the US government or any invading force. Democracy is about decentralized power. Including hard power. Elections are just suggestions. The people with guns actually... 1/2
