Pfizer tripling the price of Paxlovid isn’t some one off rare example of corruption. It is endemic to the system not only with big Pharma, but also with insurance companies, Big food, Big Oil, the defense industry and more, that institutionalized corporate greed is sucking the soul out of this country. Incremental change will not fix this. Voting for the lesser evil will not fix this.  Only a revolution at the ballot box will fix this. #Marianne2024 #disruptthecorrupt
Corporate greed is Pfizer tripling the price of Paxlovid to $1,390 a dose and quadrupling the price of its COVID vaccine to $115 while it made over $31 billion in profits last year and gave its CEO, Albert Bourla, $33 million in compensation — a 36% pay raise. Unacceptable.

Ask yourself: why can nobody else produce and sell it for less?

Kind of having déjà vu with this post. Just told you and your follows earlier today that this situation infuriates me. I told my husband the price of one dose of pax Logan and he said no that's got to be a five dose cycle I said no One pill. A month's rent. Shameful.

Do not lump Big oil in with Pharmaceutical and others. Big Oil funds itself and the US...

And all of it thrives because of Big Government.

This is the system the AMA and the wealthy's foundations created in 1910 working as designed. Unless people want to address how we ended up with a drugs and surgery cartel system it can never be solved. We'll only get 'reforms' that take more of people's wealth differently

Socialists caused thus, by trying to control flow of pharmaceuticals...same as how they cause high energy costs and out of control College tuition costs via Federal Student Loan programs. Democrats strangle poor folks, while pretending to help them.

It's almost like they know how many millions of people will die without it or how many millions of people are desperate to try it off-label for Long Covid
