I know this may seem ridiculous, but Biden had built up some legitimate good will among some progressive folk. It wasn't enthusiasm, but people were pointing to things as an example of "he sucks but it's the best we've ever had". It's all being burned in real time.

The only people who have ever uttered the words Biden is "the best we've ever had" are the people paid to say things like that
