Israel’s trying to avoid harming citizens that are sadly in harm’s way b/c Hamas uses them as human shields. You support terrorism and hurt Gazans as well as Israelis when you make such (best case naive and idiotic) false equivalencies with what Hamas did:

6,000,000 Jews were killed in the holocaust. Hundreds of thousands were killed in various 19th/20th century pogroms, no idea how many killed since 1950s. They haven't gotten close to reaching "eye for an eye" and they probably never will. The burden of peace is on Hamas.

Very true. But in the case of Israel and Hamas, one side has 100x more power to stop the bloodshed than the other because the U.S.-backed Israeli government created the apartheid state and open air prison which Palestinians are suffering under. Only Israel can change this.
