I remember a time when coming out was almost always a deeply traumatic thing. People rejected by family and loved ones, spurned and obstructed in their personal and professional lives. A lot of cruelty shown people for simply being who they were. 1/4

One of my strongest memories from the AIDS crisis was how many young men would tell me tearfully they had to call their parents… and that telling them they were gay was even harder than telling them they were going to die. 2/4

I’m so happy it’s different now for the majority of people in this country. But we shouldn’t forget that in places around the world it’s the kind of thing that could still endanger someone’s life. 3/4

Nor should we forget the backlash that’s occurring here in this country, either! Today is a good day to honor the path of LGBTQI+ as they come to accept fully who they are. May they always feel accepted by those around them and loved by those around them. Coming out should be a celebration. God’s creation is never wrong. #NationalComingOutDay 4/4

They earned every bit of backlash they receive Marianne! When you put Rainbow Flags in our Public School and force people to celebrate homosexuals for a month you've crossed a line! The Trans movement violates actual women's rights and you people say nothing. You're gross!

gays and lesbian made a HUGE mistake expanding their tent to include crazy straight people who tag themselves as TQI+ to hide and get protection as sexual minorities.

When I came out back in on Halloween in Sophomore year, my Mom was NOT ok with it. But it was coming out as a pot smoker a year later that nearly had both my parents kick me out. Nearly a decade and a half later, ... oh never mind

There should be a National Coming Out Day. New Year’s Day would be a good one. New year, new start. Power in numbers. 💛🌱

May God give them more understanding and peace to overlook all forms of negative influences of people around us that will cause us to have a rethink about how God created us in Jesus Christ mighty name I pray.

Every one struggling to accept the way God created them should seek God more and not condemn God, but condemn the evil behaviours, activities, events and past actions of also irresponsible and immatured people that committed some negative actions around them. May God give them.

Coming out was the best thing I ever did for my mental health and happiness I struggled thru it, but know that I was so lucky with my family and friends. Even grandma knows I’m gay, she still loves me (and my partner too). I’m so grateful Love to all, in or out of the closet ❤️
