I was 24 years old when Carter become president. The night before the 1980 election I heard him and Reagan on TV and thought we didn’t have anything to worry about, that Carter would win again easily. 1/2

Carter was a good man. His service to the country and community is a treasure. I was young during his presidency - but I remember my mom crying because they ran out of gas and she had waited all day. She couldn’t get to work

To @marwilliamson - if people for literal decades (since the ‘90s) were saying I am absolutely vile or horrible or abusive I would not consider a run for president. I would consider what has happened to me or my message to cause really good people to feel this way.
