I was 24 years old when Carter become president. The night before the 1980 election I heard him and Reagan on TV and thought we didn’t have anything to worry about, that Carter would win again easily. 1/2

I couldn’t conceive of the country not wanting to re-elect him. I thought he was great then and I think he’s great now. Happy birthday, Mr. President. 💙🙏❤️ 2/2

Because you weren't paying attention to what was happening before the vote. Sorry, Ma'am. You're not alone.

Jimmy Carter said we were in a malaise. He told the truth. Unfortunately facing the truth is something very few people want to do and it guaranteed he'd lose.

Which speaks to your poor insight regarding the Ukraine war, the Covid Pandemic, and Russiagate. Your heart’s in the right place, but not your gut. Theirs still a part of your shadow Marianne you haven’t dealt with. I can hear it in your voice.
