Yes, but of course the larger intellectual problem, issue, controversy is that we have very profound and strongly held differences of opinion on that point. Some believe the American economy is very fair indeed, others disagree, and they disagree what would make it more fair.

"Unfairness" means people do not get the reward that they have earned, or merit. The US is not a meritocracy, and the middle class has been disappearing for decades. Too much #CorporatePower allows the gov't & politics to be rigged for wealthy elites. @marwilliamson gets it.
