.@RobertKennedyJr says it is time to shut down the border. He visited & saw the abuses of the cartel firsthand. Kennedy wants to provide free, federal ID cards to Americans. "If you say you can't get a job without federal ID, the border is going to shut down overnight."

The abuses of the drug cartels aren’t only at the border. The even worse violence is what the migrants are trying to escape to begin with! The last thing we should do is cut off all means of escape entirely. Obviously we need more legal and orderly means of entry and asylum - a Congressional failure to achieve over decades. Also, if we’re to seriously start defeating the drug cartels we should begin by ending the Drug War.

I agree with ending the drug war but nothing else you said made any sense when it comes to the issue of migrants from all over the world flooding through our southern boarder and causing stress in communities around our country. I’m with RKFJ 100% on this

Why is it so wild to think that the military should defend our country and its people? And be used to end a humantarian crisis and end all the violence, theft, and abuse that comes with it. If you don't safeguard your country or its citizens, then neither exist anymore.

The easy answer is to follow the laws that are already on the books, but we both know that won’t happen. A good start would be to start using the $16.3b budget of the CPB to deter migrants from coming here instead of encourage them like they do now. Shut down would be last resort

If you are going to criticize the man at least know what he is proposing. Don't just read the headline/watch a clip and assume the rest! I am open to your solution, but at least know what you are criticizing and propose something that is not general.

Did you even bother to read his entire plan? Wall near highly populated areas, drones and infrared cameras in low density areas. Path to citizenship for those in the US, expand legal immigration, end the war on drugs, and stop the policy of coups and sabotaging of counties.
