.@RobertKennedyJr says it is time to shut down the border. He visited & saw the abuses of the cartel firsthand. Kennedy wants to provide free, federal ID cards to Americans. "If you say you can't get a job without federal ID, the border is going to shut down overnight."

The abuses of the drug cartels aren’t only at the border. The even worse violence is what the migrants are trying to escape to begin with! The last thing we should do is cut off all means of escape entirely. Obviously we need more legal and orderly means of entry and asylum - a Congressional failure to achieve over decades. Also, if we’re to seriously start defeating the drug cartels we should begin by ending the Drug War.

That’s not true about all the countries and it’s not about climate change either. It’s about the miseries to the population that’s happening in South America, Central America and the Caribbean they are escaping Socialism and Communism the regimes have destroyed those countries.

A legal border is normal. One that only has thousands pouring in without proper process in ANY country is setting up disastrous outcomes. USA is the cause for much of the problems in Central America. Maybe we need to help them out instead of endless wars and the war USA is waging against Russia.

Too confusing. Bobby’s way is swift and strong. And people can still apply for amnesty due to abuse, etc in order to cross the border. But if your aim is to make money, Bobby’s strategy will expose you instantly. It’s effective!!

Thats really naive and surprising to hear you say. If you've listened to Mr. Kennedy you'd know his compassion....for all sides. He sees clearly. There is no magic pill, or easy answer. But to keep our borders open to any drug runner hiding amongst true asylum seekers is a mistake. There was a bust of a drug trafficking ring where I live. Enough fentanyl to kill city and county residents FIVE times over. And that's just fentanyl, not the other drugs they found. Ties to Mexican cartels. Over and over and over its been stated that criminals are coming into the U.S. through the southern open border. We cannot fix what is going on in other countries...but we can work on things here. Oxygen mask on "yourself" first theory. Then there is clarity.
