Those who support Trump are going to support him no matter what we say, even if he goes to jail. If we really want to defeat fascism, we need to offer people something much better - that IS the way to get in line to stop fascism. We need to make the promises of democracy more attractive.

"Fall in line?". In my mind that doesn't feel like a winning recipe if you're trying to build a coalition to defeat fascism. In fact, it conjures up the spectre of undemocratic leanings. Maybe there's a more productive, less domineering wayof seeming to be pro democracy?

Do you honestly think his followers want fascism? They are working class people, sick of the broken system they are struggling to survive, they know he’s a fraud, but want to break things at this point. Your party has made their lives worse, while elevating Trump as some kind of ‘outsider’, he’s NOT.

I would argue that we also need to make ourselves more "attractive" meaning more inclusive. Sounds like an oxymoron, even to me. But then I notice how I react in the face of ideological assaults and wonder if others on an opposing ideological spectrum feel the same.
