Shawn Fain, president of @UAW, went on CNN. When asked if a strike could hurt the economy he said: "It's not that we're going to wreck the economy. We're going to wreck their economy, the economy that only works for the billionaire class. It doesn't work for the working class."

It's about Economic Democracy. Having an equal say and a vote in setting the terms and conditions of your work. No less important than political democracy.

This affects far more than the billionaires. The working class that the UAW is asking to strike doesn’t get their full pay while on strike… what about the connecting industries? Depending on how long this lasts, workers in those industries can be affected.. parts, sales, etc.
