It’s not enough to invest in clean energy if at the same time you’re ramping up dirty energy. “Look what we’re doing over here so you won’t notice what we’re doing over there.” Green energy investments here; more oil drilling permits and the Willow Project over there. That is NOT taking on Big Oil. Time to declare a climate emergency. Nothing less will answer to the crisis of our time.
Last year, Democrats passed our nation’s biggest-ever investment in fighting climate change—getting us on a path to lowering carbon emissions by 40%. And no matter what Big Oil has to say about it, I’ll keep working to make sure we tackle this crisis head on.

@ewarren I don't trust Warren! I remember supporting her when she first ran. But the things she did and said when she ran for President, I lost all respect for her. She will do and say anything to maintain the status quo while pretending to be progressive.

Cheaper energy means you lift more people out of poverty, which means more people can afford to incorporate environmental concerns into their day to day decisions. Nuclear is the easy answer, but Democrats don’t like how it looks on their resume.

I can agree with you all the way up to the point you will continue the endless war, and somehow the Palestinian people, don’t deserve human rights???

Marianne, try appealing to the midnight world. You'll sweep 40% of the primary vote.
Bidenomics is trickle down environmental destruction contracts for cronies, but with green lipstick on the pig

“Clean Energy” like the wind farms killing whales or the kind that rapes the land to build them or the wildly problematic solar panel acres?

If the world worked together in stopping/slowing the greenhouse gas emissions, the climate catastrophes will continue to escalate for a long period of time - correct? If it is not humankind's industry that is the cause, the Catastrophe is imminent- yes? DISRUPT for EARTH!

Qualifying it as an "emergency" has the expected effect of overreaction, overcorrection, and hysteria. For a very complex, uncertain (what measures result in what changes on what timeline) global phenomenon. One certainty: drastic measures will negatively affect the poor the most

None of this matters. If you are serious then talk about cutting the Pentagon, as it is the single biggest contributor.
