It’s not enough to invest in clean energy if at the same time you’re ramping up dirty energy. “Look what we’re doing over here so you won’t notice what we’re doing over there.” Green energy investments here; more oil drilling permits and the Willow Project over there. That is NOT taking on Big Oil. Time to declare a climate emergency. Nothing less will answer to the crisis of our time.
Last year, Democrats passed our nation’s biggest-ever investment in fighting climate change—getting us on a path to lowering carbon emissions by 40%. And no matter what Big Oil has to say about it, I’ll keep working to make sure we tackle this crisis head on.

What is clean energy. I am an NPR listening, organic coffee drinking, Prius driving, electric bike riding Democrat and I know where my car and bike battery come from. The come from the cobalt mines of the Congo and I know how that cobalt is mined. It is not clean energy. People give their lives and health for the cobalt. It's covered in blood and tears.

Hi Maryanne. Donor here. Don’t whistle past the gas station price sign. Saudi cuts are making gasoline, energy, and everything else more expensive. American production could be helpful.

Coal, natural gas and oil are the cleanest forms of energy currently available. The processes and materials used to create Batteries, solar panels and wind turbines create and emit significantly more pollutants into the environment than so called fossil fuels. End the charade.

No thanks on the climate crisis, I'm good Stop demonizing fossil fuels like the rest of your party. You know you can support green energies while still acknowledging the fact we NEED fossil fuels no matter what right now and that fossil fuels are overwhelming positive for society at this point in time. There is no reality right now where we can get off fossil fuels completely and everything be okay and the same. I'd rather tackle big pharma than "big oil".

How about just ending all subsidies backing the dollar with real stuff and letting the free market decide whats the most clean Nd cost effective form of energy ?

Why not stop subsidizing all of it and allow the people to choose with their own effort and resources?
