It doesn’t make me hate them. They’re not violent. Our most powerful institutions have made themselves so inured to traditional forms of protest that such acts of civil disobedience are understandable. This group was not violent in Jackson Hole; the police responding to them were violent. These young people are not criminals; some of the polite diners, however, represent a crime against future generations.
