You would think Biden would at least consider relieving people over 50 years old. Or 60 years. Or 70 years. We don’t even qualify for the SAVE program if we at any time had a Parent Plus loan. Who in his office is out to specifically harm parents???

Just a bad idea given inflation.

Some one whose debt is just about paid off because they worked their butt off gets no relief while some one who just graduated gets their whole loan paid off immediately. Does not seem fair.

Why? Someone chooses to go to school, and in acquiring a useful degree they increase their lifetime income by roughly $2 million. In doing that they take out a student loan for $100K and pay back $200K over the life of the loan. Seems like a reasonable personal investment.

Cancel the National Debt too?

No canceling unless qualified. If you took 5 years to get out of college with no degree, if you finished your law degree and now make over $200, 000a year, if you have not pursued active employment since leaving college then no debt relief. Everyone should have to qualify .

But if you raise my taxes to pay others' student loan debts, I could very well go into debt. #livingpacheck2paycheck
