I believe @POTUS has been addressing the needs of Americans for the first time in decades. Union Support, Infrastructure, manufacturing, inflation, climate… student loans. We need large majorities in House/Senate to do more. That is the real issue.

The federal govt employs how many? The federal govt does not make profit, so taxing is how those are paid. Shrink the federal govt and we all get more money in our pockets. Instead we arm tax collectors.
