The reason we should cancel the entire student loan debt is because those loans should never have existed to begin with. Before the 1970s, we had near. tuition free situations in Florida, Texas, and California. This was a malevolent strain of capitalism reaching into the pockets of some of our most vulnerable citizens, people simply trying to better their lives by getting a higher education. Every other advanced democracy has tuition free higher Ed. We should too.

Then make the universities pay back the money! Socialists just love making working class people subsidize the wealthy elites.

Push a law through congress and let the representatives of the people debate if taxpayers should pay off student loans and for higher education. No current legislation allows the president to cancel all student loans, despite protestations to the contrary. Congress must act.

Your root cause analysis is weak and no mention of actually addressing the issues going forward.

"Cancel" student debt? No one is suggesting cancelling it. They're in favor of the government/taxpayer paying the colleges who overcharged, creating the debt. You want to _cancel_ the debt and let the colleges eat the losses, go for it.
