The biggest problem is that whoever wrote this tweet didn’t even realize how outrageous it is. A one-time $700 assistance check to an entire household that just lost everything… Note that that is considered the “serious” people. If you’re not more serious than that about human suffering, then you’re not serious at all.

The $700 will be an accumulated total that includes the amount earned during the pay period before the fire prevented the completion of said pay period.

I think it's awesome . In the first few days you have people coming in to set up shelter but having some cash is really helpful till the big stuff comes in. It's not like that is all that will be offered.
