We could’ve had a world-class environmentalist as president in 2000. This will turn out to be - in fact it already is turning out to be - one of the great tragedies in American history.
The fossil fuel industry's hold over our political and financial systems blocks ambitious action on the climate crisis at every turn. We can't afford to put their false solutions ahead of a just transition to clean energy. Learn why in my latest @TEDTalks. ted.com/talks/al_gore_what_t…

Please, like all world-class environmentalists he flies private jets to conferences to scold working class for wanting air conditioning and to fly commercial to vacations. All based on crappy climate models

Agree and it was Ralph Nader that helped in that. Respectfully, some self reflection is in order.

Please, not a single politician will do anything about fossil fuels once the lobbyists threaten to cut off campaign cash

How long must someone be chronically wrong before you realize they're full of it?

Al Gore is just a grifter. Hardly a world class environmentalist. Hardly anything he says is based on solid evidence, while none of his scientific predictions have come true. But he became extremely wealthy in "carbon trading". Do you understand now?

What's a tragedy is the fact that not only did Al Gore never get a prediction right, the predictions he made were the exact opposite of right, and people still take him seriously.

You seem like a nice person. Read Michale Shellenberger's book, Apocalypse Never and cogitate on it. This is a scam and by the likes of people I doubt you support.

Respectfully, Gore lost in 2000 because he lost his home state of Tennessee. (The one and only time that has happened in US history, I believe.)
