Companies like Norfolk Southern get away with massive crime. There should be a Congressional investigation of every aspect of what went wrong in East Palestine, Ohio, and that company should be banned from lobbying until all investigation and compensation to the citizens of East Palestine has been completed. It is ridiculous that under a Democratic administration, Norfolk Southeen is hardly even being slapped on the wrist. Unfortunately, right now, East Palestine is an example of the ineptitude of our government and its willingness to do little more than provide cover for the worst actors possible. in a “government of the people, by the people, and for the people,” the people of East Palestine should be far more protected than the executives at Norfolk Southern. #EastPalestine
In February, a train derailment exposed the town of East Palestine, Ohio, to toxic vinyl chloride. Since then, the company that made the chemicals has spent millions to stop railway legislation that could help prevent another disaster. jacobin.com/2023/08/east-pal…

Maybe they can take it and do like they've done so many black neighborhoods and communities why don't you just take that part of Ohio and cover it up with a nice lake... or maybe a park...

It's not a Congressional investigation; it's an NTSB investigation. That's what the NTSB does. ntsb.gov/investigations/Page…

The US Federal government gets away with massive crime, yet you want to give it more and more power. Why?

this tragedy was used briefly to club biden/buttigieg then both sides moved on and nothing changed. the "news" hasn't been back and neither party want anyone looking to closely. move on ,nothing to see, it's all been taken care of.
Your advisors should tell you to steer clear of libelous claims like this.

That’s just the big cases that make the news. The day to day of living by their railroad tracks is a whole battle in itself.

The people of East Palestine should be far more protected from the bind you are putting them in, if/when they learn you teach the "daily ACIM" according to which they would "have invented this situation as [they] see it"(ACIM, #32).

It's insane that lobbying affects policy to such a degree, and it's consistently a source for regulatory negligence and environmental damage.
