The people who lecture me on the importance of everyone rallying behind Joe Biden even in the primary tend to be those who: Have adequate health care, can afford to send their kids to college, can live on just one job, make more than $15/hr, aren't afraid their kids might get shot at a traffic stop, aren't rationing their insulin, can afford child care, and probably watch a lot of MSNBC. Most importantly, they do not make up numbers big enough to win in 2024.

Both are wrong. The government has no business giving money to anyone or promising healthcare for that matter
The quote is often misattributed to MLK, but no evidence exists that he ever said it. The quote appeared in a 1958 book by economist John Galbraith, The Affluent Society. Galbraith used the quote to illustrate the double standard that exists when it comes to government assistance
