The people who lecture me on the importance of everyone rallying behind Joe Biden even in the primary tend to be those who: Have adequate health care, can afford to send their kids to college, can live on just one job, make more than $15/hr, aren't afraid their kids might get shot at a traffic stop, aren't rationing their insulin, can afford child care, and probably watch a lot of MSNBC. Most importantly, they do not make up numbers big enough to win in 2024.

Well, I'm 71 as liberal as it gets, and don't fit that description. That's a pretty broad generalization. I'd like to think you could win, but you're not going to. The country isn't there yet. So, yes, it's crucial for all of us to get behind Biden or say goodbye to our democracy
