The political axis that defines our times is not between left and right. That is simply a smokescreen. The real dichotomy is between the powerful and the powerless, between those who have capital and easy access to capital versus those who are always struggling to survive. Our current system maintains the dichotomy, leaving a huge amount of suffering baked into the cake. Only an uprising at the ballot box (in addition to the resurgence in the labor movement) can change the calculus. #Marianne2024

You don't seem to know what "left" and "right" mean.

How does running in a rigged primary accomplish this?

The means you suggest, to distribute power to the people, only concentrates power in different hands, this is the big lie of the left. There is no way currently to distribute power to the people, we have to approximate this as best we can with representative government, which is exactly what we currently do. To deviate from our current system, to demonize it as the cause of all ills, is to choose an inferior distribution of power method that only ends up concentrating it more than it already does. There may be a way in the future to more fully distribute power, but it will require an incredibly sophisticated system that I don't think will be possible without AI. For now, a representative government with checks and balances driven by an adversarial system, with requirements for transparency, is about as good as it gets.

But that conflict is what the left/right conflict is about. Being leftist is basically by definition about putting power in the hands of people rather than capital.

Is there a society in history or in this world where everyone has equal ownership of everything?

The New Left could care less about the working class, they despise their "deplorable" values. Herbert Marcuse is The New Left's guiding voice, calling explicitly for the destruction of the working class by an unholy alliance of "educated" elites and "oppressed" minorities.
