I miss that little blue bird. It was a symbol we all shared, childlike and kind of charming. An homage to something natural replaced by a soulless X. What a perfect symbol for the larger problem of our times.

I miss the birdie but always saw the larger backslash in the X as a bird's body and the smaller slash as its wings. I don't believe I've ever heard anyone point that out before. Still it's fun to criticize the needless logo change.

Remember when a little bird flew onto Bernie Sanders' podium while he was speaking? I had fond hopes that he would start a new progressive party and that that bird would become its symbol.
