Politicians blaming homelessness on mental health or addiction issues is a deflection technique. It is a complete abdication of moral responsibility for the way so many public policies have driven people into chronic and unbearable despair for decades.

Except it’s no secret that the majority are homeless because of mental health due to drug addictions. The other side of the coin is guys who just like being downtown and outside all the time. I met a “bridge guy” once and let him use my phone to call his mom. He put her on speaker and the conversation was an eye opener. He enjoyed living under bridges in tents with no phone or places to be. He was fairly intelligent and super athletic.

There is a problem with drugs and mental illness. I think it is the responsibility of our leaders to address it. I think it’s a 5 years recovery/investment plan average. Per afflicted person

Homelessness, hunger, and unemployment are 100% the fault of the federal government. There is no scarcity of dollars to house, feed and employ ever American. @TheDemocrats and @GOP refuse. If you disagree with me please respond below. I'm more than happy to discuss this.

When “they say” @marwilliamson is not serious - ask yourself why? Then consider that she has been shining a light & speaking about the ROOT causes of human suffering for decades AND has DONE THINGS to positively impact that suffering too. #disruptthesystem #marianne2024
