America’s medical debt is $88B, while the top five pharmaceutical companies brought in $80B in profit last year alone. The institutionalized greed of insurance and pharmaceutical companies is an economic plague on this country. We need single-payer universal healthcare, and nothing less. #MedicareForAll

I’m with you on this one. Healthcare wasn’t an issue when Obama made it one. It needed tweaking but since he forced Obamacare on everyone…it’s all shit now.
When “they say” @marwilliamson is not serious ask yourself why? Then consider that she’s been speaking out against the corporate takeover of our political system for decades & calling out all the “Bigs” including Big Pharma for years #disruptthesystem #forthepeople #marianne2024

Look at Canada for inspiration. The single payer system is the largest budget item in govt. funding is unsustainable, exceeding inflation. Wait times in ER are 4x worse then US. Routine multi-year waits to see specialists. Slow adoption of innovation. Domestic innovation a joke

Well, if those companies made nothing, then those people may have died debt free. Let me see, owe debt, or die, which do I prefer?

Other people are greedy for making profit from supplying what's in demand through trade, but we totally aren't greedy for demanding to be supplied by forcefully taking what someone else made. 🤡

How does single payer solve that problem? It doesn’t, you have to solve the problem before single payer is possible

Scottish Enlightenment Era Professor of Economics and Moral Philosophy Adam Smith harboured something of a mistrust of the medical profession, despite the fact that one of his best friends, David Hume, wrote one of the first modern clinical psychiatry textbooks. I wonder why ?
