Denying people water in times of extreme heat can literally endanger their lives. For farmworkers to construction workers, whether it’s big industry or state government that’s behaving that way, we should have zero tolerance for such murderous neglect of a human need.
After no water for nearly 9 hours on the Capitol steps, I’m more confident than ever that we can make positive change in this country for working people — including winning the right to basic water breaks.
