The way to fight off the fascists in 2024 is not simply by fighting the fascists. The biggest danger to Democrats is not how many people might vote for Trump; our biggest danger is how many people might stay home.

The way for Democrats to win in 2024 is to offer a Much Better Deal: Universal healthcare; Tuition free college and tech school; Child care; Paid family leave; A guaranteed living wage. Release from the economic anxiety that shackles most people.

This type of a program will lead citizens to be further dependant on govt. Relying on govt for everything you need, doesn’t leave you with much of a say. You better hope that govt is benevolent, because if it is not you will be over a barrel.

And not a peep about UBI. If you are actually worried about people like myself staying home, you will need to put UBI at the top of your list alongside healthcare. Otherwise you aren't serious as a candidate.
