It’s time now for change in America. Nonviolent change. Peaceful change. Loving change. Yet fierce change. Fundamental course-correction. There’s a rumbling underneath the surface of things, and it isn’t going to stop. It will burst into manifestation in one direction or the other: either greater brotherhood and justice, or authoritarianism and dystopia. This isn’t a time to be neutral, because neutrality implies acquiescence to an unjust status quo. In the words of Thomas Paine, “Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice.” It’s time to commit to the repair of the world. #marianne2024
