It’s time to declare a climate emergency. We must not allow profits for Big Oil to take precedence over our challenge to confront a genuine threat to our existence. Environmental organizations endorsing President Biden’s incremental approach to dealing with the climate crisis is absurd.
NEW: 85 people in Arizona suffered severe burns from contact with pavements heated up to 180F (82C). 7 of them died. In total, 257 people had underlying cause of death listed as "exposure to excessive natural heat". This is not a forecast for 50 years time, it’s happening today.

Cold kills orders of magnitude more each year. Big Oil will proceed until more affordable alternatives are developed. It is a law of nature. Invest in Research and Development of alternate technologies.

It's not absurd @marwilliamson you're just really really ignorant. This plus a lot of other things you're purposely ignoring because nobody's endorsing you is why they endorse @POTUS. 🥳
BREAKING: @POTUS just made 3 huge climate announcements! ⚡️ @CommerceGov is launching a 1st-ever Climate Resilience Regional Challenge 💸 @energy is investing $2 billion+ to modernize our electric grid 📓 The White House is hosting the 1st-ever climate resilience summit

I’ve lived in Arizona for 50 years. Nothing has changed. People come here from all over move and have no adaption or clue how to manage the heat. I remember it got even hotter in past years. 118-122 F can be 180 + when you get into a car. Unhealthy people can die very easily

You mean claim an emergency is happening so the gov can violate the rights of citizens you disagree with.

If you cared one bit about the climate, you would be demanding an investigation into the Nord Stream pipeline disaster, which dumped unprecedented amounts of a greenhouse gas 80x more potent than CO2.
What we know about the 2023 heatwave In 2022, the Russian offensive left many in Ukraine without power. A harsh winter was being forecasted for Ukraine. In September, the Nord Stream pipeline was blown up. Ukraine is spared by an unusually mild winter. reuters.com/business/environ…

declaring a climate emergency is very much akin to declaring war on China and India as well as all Western societies turn off their power grids immediately if they are not using renewable energy and shut cars down immediately. are you willing to call for that
