It’s time to declare a climate emergency. We must not allow profits for Big Oil to take precedence over our challenge to confront a genuine threat to our existence. Environmental organizations endorsing President Biden’s incremental approach to dealing with the climate crisis is absurd.
NEW: 85 people in Arizona suffered severe burns from contact with pavements heated up to 180F (82C). 7 of them died. In total, 257 people had underlying cause of death listed as "exposure to excessive natural heat". This is not a forecast for 50 years time, it’s happening today.

Also, why the fuck do we have so much pavement in PHX? Like we need to move away from cars otherwise the heat here will get even worse even faster.

Climate can be debated and discussed but what can’t be debated is how much garbage and waste we are dumping into oceans and how toxic the soil is… climate change became a political game, clean the oceans and protect the soil … just do that

Lead by example. It's called put up or shut up. Get rid of anything you own that was made by fossil fuel or transport using fossil fuel.

YES. This is everything. And our current “leaders” are totally absent.

Are you suggesting we nationalize oil? You expect this to be cheaper for Americans?
