Long Covid is very real, and thousands of Americans living with it feel very abandoned by the government. PCR tests and high quality masks should still be freely available to all, we need to reinstate mask mandates in healthcare settings, and effective air filtration for all public transportation, buildings, and businesses should be mandated.

So many people in the comments have such faith and trust in the government and what they’ve been told about Covid. It’s astonishing.

My aunt has long covid. She can barely get up the stairs, had to have heart surgery (twice) and just had a stroke. One of my cousins was disabled for months (finally better) after her 2nd Covid infection. And she‘s super healthy, working out all the time.

People who say „But it’s only immune compromised people who get long covid.“ That’s very callus & incorrect. Besides, we have to recognize that we will ALL be immune compromised at some point in our life time. Masks in medical settings is appropriate & it benefits everybody.

FYI - it’s not just the folks with Long COVID that feel abandoned every immunocompromised person does too. All of us who are medcially vulnerable have been left for dead!

It’s refreshing that a candidate doesn’t pretend that the ongoing pandemic doesn’t exist.
