Long Covid is very real, and thousands of Americans living with it feel very abandoned by the government. PCR tests and high quality masks should still be freely available to all, we need to reinstate mask mandates in healthcare settings, and effective air filtration for all public transportation, buildings, and businesses should be mandated.

Thank you for this Marianne. Many who have developed Long Covid actually have ME/CFS. This disease I have thanks for SARS2. It only gets $20M a year in research funding by NIH and it is literally one of the worst diseases you can get. Affects abt 70% women. There appears to be some sexism at play here. This disease is likely treatable if not curable yet due to almost total neglect over decades patients have been forced to suffer tortured existences. This is a disease that’s actually more common than MS yet nobody can even imagine how patients w this are treated and how much suffering it inflicts..
