With all the misinformation about a stolen election in 2020, there actually WAS one in 2000. @SCOTUS overturned the Florida Supreme Court’s decision to recount their votes.🧵

Later, a final recount showed that Gore had won. Why so relevant now? Because we could’ve had a world class environmentalist as president in 2000!

We would have had a powerful environmental agenda, and no Iraq War. Justice Sandra Day O’Connor was the swing vote we were hoping for at the time, but she didn’t come through.

Later, after she left the court, she said that she regretted that vote... 🥲

😂You one dumb person authoritarian old hag
Never forget, when all the votes were counted Gore won Florida, and thus should have won the presidency. We got eight years of Dubya when we could have had an environmentalist for a president. Think about what a lost opportunity that was.

France banned mail in ballot and machines many decades ago for fear of cheating. Let that sink in
So it was legally decided
So you are advocating for stealing elections cuz it's your turn?
YES ... Al Gore actually won that election!
Yeah, because Gore wanted selected counties only to be included- thus violating te 14th Amendment. Ultimately Gore lost because Nader got 97,000 votes in Florida. If only 2,000 of those had voted for Gore instead, there wouldn't even have been any recounts at all.
