I strongly denounce comments made earlier this week by RFK Jr. implying that Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese were relatively "spared" by COVID-19, while Caucasian and Black people were specifically targeted. Whether intentionally or not, his remarks amplify sinister and unfounded notions that are both anti-Semitic and anti-Chinese.🧵

Kennedy’s “I’m only asking questions” use of the most anti-Semitic tropes is unacceptable. As a Jewish American candidate in the 2024 presidential race, I stand against this covert racism writ large. Such language serves only to divide us further at a moment when we need desperately to unite.

MW To deliberately mischaracterize and/or bare false witness is an act of destruction. Those that align with destruction will meet with destruction 🫵

Remember when @SenWarren slandered @BernieSanders with a sexism accusation Instead of criticizing warmonger @JoeBiden ? Remember the 16 @washingtonpost hit pieces in 16 hours? Did you enjoy when they were shared by the establishment? Bad look Marianne

The conspiracy theorist, anti-vaxxer, and longshot Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claimed at a press event that COVID-19 may be a Genetically Engineered Bioweapon “Ethnically Targeted” to spare Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese people ... I SAW THE VIDEO MYSELF!

Your first 2 Tweets here are your personal reaction to what RFK Jr actually said. This Mother Jones article though is a deliberate attempt to distort what he said and to inflame the situation. It's just like the smears they do on you. Keep the first 2 up, but delete this one.

NYT is straight up lying about RFK Jr. RFK cited a scientific paper defending his remarks. The NYT falsely claims that the paper makes no references to Ashkenazi Jews. They issued a correction, admitting they only looked at the abstract. But the articles body is unchanged.
