I strongly denounce comments made earlier this week by RFK Jr. implying that Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese were relatively "spared" by COVID-19, while Caucasian and Black people were specifically targeted. Whether intentionally or not, his remarks amplify sinister and unfounded notions that are both anti-Semitic and anti-Chinese.🧵

Kennedy’s “I’m only asking questions” use of the most anti-Semitic tropes is unacceptable. As a Jewish American candidate in the 2024 presidential race, I stand against this covert racism writ large. Such language serves only to divide us further at a moment when we need desperately to unite.

Whether it was a bio-weapon is unknown. He only suggested that it may have been 'developed as such', but did not blame Jewish or Chinese people. Kamala Harris talks about reducing population (depopulation), so perhaps this should be considered, imo. ☮️ politico.com/news/2023/07/15…

I also am a Jewish American. Marianne, I've loved your campaiggn BUT - although I haven't followed the point couterpoint of this latest controversy, I know that RFK Jr, from what I have heard from him so far, has been controversial for sure, but also rational and brave.

RFK is merely stating a fact. If it is not a fact then bring evidence to the contrary so we can all learn together.

I expected more from you a spiritual based person. He was stating some of the science that is being looked at right now. The question now is, can you stay honest to your values AND run for president?
