I strongly denounce comments made earlier this week by RFK Jr. implying that Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese were relatively "spared" by COVID-19, while Caucasian and Black people were specifically targeted. Whether intentionally or not, his remarks amplify sinister and unfounded notions that are both anti-Semitic and anti-Chinese.🧵

Kennedy’s “I’m only asking questions” use of the most anti-Semitic tropes is unacceptable. As a Jewish American candidate in the 2024 presidential race, I stand against this covert racism writ large. Such language serves only to divide us further at a moment when we need desperately to unite.

It is not anti-semitic to criticize Israel.

I love Marianne but this “denouncement” of something a quote being misrepresented without context smacks of fear. This moment is about putting truth above all else which means speaking honestly and without fear, something I’ve seen RFK Jr. do more than anyone else.

Does it? Or is it something science should explore if it is a fact. The data is the data and some countries, races, faired better than others. Why would you not look at those differences and investigate?

I noticed you didn't bother asking why he holds that view, you just jumped to the assumption that it's bigoted.

But does the data show that? And if so, why would you denounce the statements?
