I agree with Scotland’s plan to end the Drug War and treat addiction as a health issue rather than a criminal issue. I would want to see the same thing here. vice.com/en/article/3akaey/s…

I agree 100% ... let all those people in prison for minor drug offenses out of jail ... and if necessary send them to college or tech school to learn a skill ... and then ... let them thrive ... and let their tax dollars help others!

US and Scotland are two rich countries with a huge drug problem. I hope the US will pay attention & learn.

Marianne, when treating drug addiction as a health issue, what are the responsibilities and obligations of a person undergoing treatment? What are the consequences for a person who fails to live up to those obligations?

Yes, but where do you stand on the Great Scotland Glass Bottle Scandal of 2023?

From a government that put a convicted male rapist into a female prison because he said he was a woman. From a government who advocated that by taking 6 inches of classrooms doors would provide adequate ventilation against COVID...Are they on drugs??

Unless you have forced rehab for addicts, creating a drug free for all and “safe supply” will just multiply the problem. Addicts will sell their supply for more fentanyl. Useless without the $ put into rehab. Deaths have gone up in 🇨🇦 after “safe injection” sites were created.
